Synchronet Sysops:

o The Dovenet Areas are Pre-Installed into the Dovenet Conference.
o Telnet to telnet://vert.synchro.net and create a QWK Account (it will prompt you)
o Use your QWKID as your username (existing examples: VERT, MALKAVIA, KIA, etc..)
o If in doubt, Read The Docs (and then if need be) ask in the Dovenet - Synchronet Discussion echo.


Non-Synchronet Sysops:

o Depending on your BBS Software Configurations, there could be a number of different ways to do this. Consult the documentation of your BBS Software and / or the Author, if he or she is available.
o Dovenet can only use FTN by way of a QWK Gate. This means -- you have to know someone (or find someone) who is in Dovenet already and willing to configure a gateway for you.
o If your BBS supports NNTP import and export, the QWK account you create on telnet://vert.synchro.net should also allow you a similar type of access via the Vertrauen NNTP Server. Either way, a "BBS Account" and NOT a "User Account" is required for Networking.
o Web-only Message Boards will require the installation of some sort of NNTP Addon Module, if one is available for your software.
